All aboard for the 2025 Greenfingers Dragon Boat Race – sign up today!

Get ready to make a splash as the much-anticipated Greenfingers Dragon Boat Race returns to Grendon Lakes on Sunday 6th July.

Excitement is already building as six teams have signed up to take on the challenge. With space for up to 14 teams, there’s still plenty of opportunity for businesses, individual rowers, friends and fun-loving supporters to get involved in what promises to be another unforgettable day.

Whether you're forming a full team or flying solo, the event is open to everyone. Individual rowers are especially welcome, with mixed boats a great way to meet new people while supporting the vital work of the Greenfingers Charity. It’s competitive, collaborative, and an incredible way to contribute to a cause that brings the gift of magical gardens to children in hospices.

Each boat requires 10 rowers and a drummer, with entry costing £900 per team or £100 for individuial rowers. It’s an ideal team-building activity with a purpose, packed with laughter, friendly rivalry and plenty of community spirit.

What’s more, with the stunning Grendon Lakes providing the backdrop to the day, it’s perfect for families, friends and colleagues (and dogs!) to support from the sidelines. So, grab a picnic and come cheer on this year’s rowers.

Sponsorship opportunities available

For those who can’t take to the water but still want to make a difference, sponsorship packages are available. From supporting event photography and on-the-day refreshments to having your brand proudly displayed, it’s a chance to raise your profile while backing a fantastic cause.

Raffle prizes needed!

As always, the legendary Greenfingers raffle will close the day’s celebrations, offering attendees the chance to win a range of exciting prizes, whilst also boosting the day’s fundraising total. The charity is currently calling for donations of products, services or experiences to include in the prize draw.

Linda Petrons, Director of Fundraising and Communications at the Greenfingers Charity, said: “The Dragon Boat Race is such a fun day and the 2025 edition is shaping up to be something special. With six teams already signed up and spaces still available, we’d love to see even more supporters take part – whether they’re rowing, cheering, sponsoring or donating a raffle prize. Every contribution helps us continue our mission of creating inspiring outdoor spaces for children in hospices across the UK.”
