Garden Maintenance: Caring for Greenfingers Gardens
A Greenfingers garden is far more than plants and pathways, it’s a sanctuary. A place where children with life-limiting conditions and their families can pause, breathe and simply be together. But gardens, like memories, need care to flourish. That’s why ongoing garden maintenance is at the heart of what we do.
Why Garden Maintenance Matters
Our gardens are living, breathing spaces. Seasonal changes, playful footsteps and the passage of time all shape them. To keep them safe, welcoming and full of life, they require expert care, from pruning and planting to refreshing features and ensuring every corner continues to inspire calm, joy and comfort.
Garden Ambassadors: Protecting Our Gardens
We are proud to welcome our Garden Ambassadors, a dedicated team of horticulturists, industry experts who care for existing Greenfingers gardens. They:
- Tend to every detail within children’s hospices
- Offer support to hospice teams and their volunteer gardeners to help gardens thrive
- Ensure each space remains a peaceful haven for families and carers
Every visit, every tip shared, every snip of the pruning shears is an act of compassion. Thanks to their dedication, our gardens continue to provide moments of peace, laughter and connection, year after year.
You can help support our Garden Maintenance Programme…
