When a friend asked Greenfingers supporter Simon Quinton-Smith if he would join him on a demanding trek in Nepal Simon, who is always up for a challenge, said yes…as long as it is in support of Greenfingers Charity!
Simon is a fantastic supporter of Greenfingers willing to go above and beyond for the charity. We at Greenfingers are therefore thrilled to support Simon as he goes further than he ever has before as he treks over 250 Kilometres above 6000 metres around Kanchenjunga, the third highest mountain in the world, this Winter.
All home comforts will be removed and Simon will have very little contact with the outside world throughout the 24 day duration of the trek; no comfortable mattress and only primitive facilities on top of the hugely demanding trek will ensure the trip will be a great personal challenge for Simon who said,
“Yes it’s going to be tough, but I am I doing it to support a GREAT cause.
As a supporter of Greenfingers Charity, I have seen the difference the charity makes to the lives of children living with life limiting conditions.”
We want to wish Simon the best of luck with this challenge and with all of the training and preparation that leads up to the event. We will be following Simon’s progress over the weeks leading up to the Trek and if you would like to show your support please sponsor Simon on his Justgiving page by clicking the link below.
A million thanks!
