The suppliers who contributed to the QVC Greenfingers Garden Re-Leaf Day 2015 extravaganza have helped raise in excess of a whopping £50,000!
Plants2Gardens – just one of the suppliers involved in the popular shopping channels support of Garden Re-Leaf Day – raised over £10,000 alone. This week Greenfingers Head of Fundraising, Linda Petrons, visited Plants2Gardens Managing Director, Ken Evans, to collect a cheque for an impressive £10,989.
On receiving the cheque Linda Petrons commented: ‘Wow! What can we say…we are completely blown away by the incredible amount of money raised by the QVC programmes. Thank you so much to Plants2Gardens for their extremely generous donation – and to all the other suppliers for kindly donating money from all the products they sold. Thanks also of course to QVC for giving us so much airtime!’
Richard Jackson hosted four Greenfingers Garden Re-Leaf Day shows on QVC, which ran for an unprecedented six hours over three days back in March. Thanks to a minimum of £1 being donated from each unit sold by all the contributing suppliers Richard’s efforts were richly rewarded!
Everyone at Greenfingers would like to express their thanks to all the suppliers who took part – Plants2Gardens, Hayloft, Montrose of Guernsey, De Jager, Unwins, Golden Gark, Wet & Forget, Bernini Fountains, Gripeeze gloves, Lawn Magic and Langdon European as well as Richard Jackson’s own Garden Care Range.
Thanks of course also to Richard himself for all his hard work and the rest of the team at QVC for continuing to support Garden Re-Leaf Day in such a meaningful way.
Richard Jackson, who is also the Founder President of Greenfingers, said: “Our success with fundraising through the QVC shows could not have happened without the generosity of our suppliers, or indeed the viewers that purchased the products – many of which sold out in minutes. The money we have together raised is quite simply a life changing amount for the children and families that use our hospice gardens – thank you!”
