Great news! Greenfingers charity-founder, Richard Jackson, has been awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2016 Garden Retail Awards presentation. Congratulations Richard. Everyone at Greenfingers charity endorses this award for your altruistic forethought and hard work supporting gardening and this charity over many years.
Passionate promoter and supporter of the gardening industry, Richard founded Greenfingers charity in 1998 to bring people from across the industry together to focus fundraising and build Greenfingers gardens for children’s hospices. He stood down as chairman after 15 years but is still very much involved in supporting this charity.
Matthew Appleby, Garden Retail awards chairman said at the event, “Richard Jackson has made a huge contribution to the garden centre industry across so many areas. He has set up Greenfingers charity, garden centres, garden retail training schemes for disadvantaged people and the successful Garden Press Event. Richard has pioneered TV gardening shopping and has his own successful gardening business. He is very worthy of this award.”
Congratulations Richard on a very well-deserved award! We were so pleased to have been there to share your evening and
cheer you from the rafters.
