We are thrilled to announce that Gardman have helped to raise almost £3500 for Greenfingers Charity by donating their old and unwanted stock to Peacocks auction house as part of our Turn Old Into Gold scheme.
Turn Old Into Gold is an ongoing scheme in which retailers, suppliers and others are encouraged to donate old and unwanted stock to Greenfingers Charity for resale at auction. Gardman’s unwanted stock has been sold over the past months and weeks by auctioneers W & H Peacocks in Bedford with the proceeds going to Greenfingers Charity.
The recent donations included everything from planters to door mats and bird feeders to wall lights which were greatly received at auction.
All funds raised through the Turn Old into Gold scheme will contribute to Greenfingers A Million Moments appeal. The appeal, which launched in July 2015, aims to raise £1 million to help at least a further 5,000 children who spend time in hospices around the UK by giving them the gift of a garden and the chance to spend precious time outdoors, enjoying the natural world.
We are extremely grateful to Gardman for their ongoing support of Greenfingers Charity and the Turn Old Into Gold Scheme and we are delighted to see that the simple act of getting rid of unwanted or left over stock and products has a very tangible benefit for the charity. We hope others will also think of us and give us a call whenever they have unwanted items and remember your trash is our treasure!
If you have unwanted stock to donate please call Greenfingers on 01494 674749 or email Melanie directly at, firstname.lastname@example.org. For most items, Greenfingers can arrange transportation of the stock via Decco, Greenfingers partner for this initiative.
