We are delighted to announce that Gardman have raised an enormous £47,288.20 for Greenfingers Garden Re-Leaf Day through the 5 Product promotions!
The chosen products included two existing products from their range with the addition of three new fantastic products including a brand new ‘Greenfingers Charity Tree Doormat’ designed especially for the Garden Re-Leaf Day campaign.
Product promotions are a brilliant, simple way of supporting Greenfingers Garden Re-Leaf Day as Gardman’s Andrew Mellowes explains,
“At the GIMA awards dinner in 2015, the Gardman table was truly inspired by the presentation made by Boyd Douglas Davis, and the work which Greenfingers had completed over the last 12 months. As a company we wanted to get actively involved in both supporting the charity and Garden Re-Leaf day. Without delay we reviewed our current product range and picked four lines; two of which were brand new products. We did however want create a product that emanated Greenfingers and worthy cause it supports. So … armed with a selection of vegetables and paints, our talented category management team cleverly designed the Greenfingers Charity Tree Doormat, with the chosen tool a cut through celery stem to create a colourful rose tree design. And, to make it quick and easy for retailers to merchandise in and around store, we packaging the Charity Tree Doormat in a very eyecatching and fully branded Greenfingers display tray.
The full campaign was launched at our September sales meeting and took pride of place on our Glee stand too. The overwhelming commitment we’ve had from both staff, retailers and end consumers has enabled us to donate over £45,000 to the charity, and revenue has dramatically increased on all of the 5 lines featured in the campaign. This very meaningful campaign has also enable us to create an incredibly positive and tangible PR story, that the trade has been keen to publicise and promote.”
We are delighted with Gardman’s efforts which have made a significant contribution to the this year’s final Garden Re-Leaf Day total of £140,000. We are thrilled to say that the funds raised from this year’s appeal are already being put to good use on a number of gardens across the UK.
We hope that Gardman’s story will inspire others to get on board and support Greenfingers by supplying and stocking even more product promotions in support of Greenfingers Garden Re-Leaf Day 2017.
