Adding a new children's wing to the established adult hospice, highlighted the need for a garden scheme to meet the needs of the children and young adulst using the hospice. When Greenfingers visited to find out more about the needs of the children and families of the hospice what came out loud and clear was that in common with virtually every Newcastle teenager those using St Oswald's services were football mad!
So to meet their needs an astro-turf area was included to allow as much wheelchair football as possible. As well as this key element, pathways were improved and the patio in the Peaceful Garden was improved together with additional planting.
