The design for this garden, by Rachel Mathews, centred around a yellow brick road with sweeping curves to a gazebo behind a 'telly tubbies' grass mound. Ideally designed for children, the garden also featured a curved wall with holes in it, giving glimpses of the main garden through the 'portholes'. The sitting area was partially hidden to give a sense of peace and seclusion.
Adding water features to the garden enhanced its sense of tranquility, including water trickling down from one pool to another, and cascading over a brightly coloured ball.
With a wide range of planting, including many fruit trees, the garden was designed to appeal to children through all seasons and was officially opened by Tommy Walsh.
