Artists across the country have been busy entering stunning floral artworks in a variety of styles and media, since the end of last year, in support of Greenfingers Charity. Now almost 100 floral art pictures are set to go on sale at an exhibition in London to raise money for Greenfingers Charity, thanks to TV gardening guru Richard Jackson’s Flower Power Art Challenge.
Thursday 31st March marked the close of entry to the competition and the start of the public vote which helped to decide which of our talented artists are due to exhibit their artwork in May at the Strand Gallery, London.
From Friday the 1st to the 4th of April, the public were invited to vote for their favourite artworks which will go on sale at the exclusive four day exhibition from Thursday 5th of May.
Shortlisted artworks will be announced on the Greenfingers website on Thursday 7th April.
The most popular artwork as voted for by the public will go on to receive the people’s choice award at the exhibition launch evening on the 5th of May. The Challenge has captured the imagination of amateur, professional and botanical artists from right across Europe who have submitted a stunning collection of affordable contemporary artwork, all based on the theme Flower Power, named after Richard Jackson’s best-selling gardening feed.
Tickets to the exclusive launch evening are limited and cost £15. Please contact Ollie@greenfingerscharity.org.uk or call 01494 674749 if you would like to reserve a ticket.
