Friday saw a record-breaking turn out for Garden ReLeaf Day, now our Greenfingers team are back out and working their magic at a children’s hospice in Oxford.
The colourful Kaleidoscope Garden at Helen House is undergoing a planting transformation today ahead of its grand opening in May. The new garden, designed by competition winner Nicola Wakefield of KLC School of Design, will sit inside an existing Greenfingers garden to provide a sheltered space for children and families all year round.
Positioned alongside the much loved accessible tree house, the Kaleidoscope structure has been designed to spill with colour throughout the seasons.
Geum Totally Tangerine and Aquilegia Black Barlow are both being planted to bring splashes of colour to the borders.A special thanks goes out to GreenArt, Hilltop Garden Store, Infinite Playgrounds, LOFA and Beachborough School, Nicola Wakefied and KLC School of Design, and Greenfingers Patron Ann-Marie Powell who helped select the final garden design. May we also say a huge thank you to all of our Greenfingers supporters, without your generosity projects such as this would not be possible.
