The annual GIMA Awards, which took place at Celtic Manor Resort in South Wales at the end of July, was a fantastic night for Greenfingers – not only were we able to announce the record-breaking Garden Re-Leaf Day 2015 fundraising total, but we were lucky enough to benefit from a host of other fundraising initiatives.
The popular GIMA golf day is always great fun with members of the horticulture industry taking to the green to compete against each other. A fantastic £3,500 was raised for Greenfingers as a result of industry luminaries teeing off and enjoying a leisurely round of golf.
Later on we were lucky enough to also benefit from the table raffle at the evening with £3,142 being generously donated. Thank you to Karcher and More People for their donations of raffle prizes – and to Claudia Armitage who very kindly donated £300 of John Lewis vouchers back to Greenfingers!
The GIMA event was also the perfect opportunity for Briers to present a giant cheque from their sterling Garden Re-Leaf Day #glovies effort – thank you to Briers for their wonderful donation of £8,400!
Thanks also Woodlodge for their generous donation of £2327.50.
An amazing night for Greenfingers – and thank you to everyone for your continued kind and generous support of Greenfingers, without your help we could not continue to make inspiring gardens for children in hospices around the country.
